EDISON, NJ — The Edison Township Public Schools has now added a seven-day meal kit pick up option for students. This is in addition to the current meal service program in which meals are provided directly to students or picked up daily at their school.
The school district is offering the meal kit — seven days of breakfast and lunches — for a weekly pick-up at no cost to parents.
Families who are picking up meals daily may continue to do so, and do not have to pick up all seven meals at once. In addition, students who are attending in-person learning and are currently receiving their meals at dismissal each day may continue that routine.
The seven-day meal kit is for pick up only, at either Edison High School or John P. Stevens High School, on Wednesdays.
Here are the timings:
In order to prepare meals for pick-up, parents and guardians need to fill out the correct order form and indicate if they are picking up daily or choosing to pick up the meal kits on Wednesdays.
A separate form for each student in the household is needed. Students who are attending in-person learning do not need to complete any forms.
The deadline for submitting the first form for the meal kit pick up is Nov. 24, 2020.
Pick-up will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Each week the online forms will be updated to indicate the most recent deadlines and pick-up dates. Parents and guardians must complete the online forms each Tuesday for the following week.
